Hi, I am Mandy Bealer, founder of Enso Birth! Why enso? I have always been drawn to symbolism and spiritual meanings so when I came across and studied the Japanese enso it just made sense to me. It is the Zen symbol of peace & enlightenment. It has what it needs inside of it when closed, yet when open it represents the beauty of imperfection. It's a depiction of life, birth, new beginnings, even death and rebirth and flows into itself. It is you. Your birth, your life that flows into your baby's birth and life. Birth is a transforming experience and my goal is to help empower you to have it be a positive one.
I offer a wide range of services to support expectant parents, including childbirth classes, breastfeeding support, doula services, comfort measures classes, belly casting and more. As an seasoned professional I am passionate about helping you have the best possible birth and parenting experience as your childbirth educator.
I am excited to provide expectant parents with the resources and support they need to have a healthy pregnancy, a safe delivery, and a happy, thriving baby! My mission is to empower parents to make informed choices and to create a community where they can connect and learn from each other. We learn information in many different ways and in my classes we will discuss how you learn and what your needs are to create your best birthing experience! You get to customize your birth in a way that makes the most sense to you!
Welcome! I am glad you found me! My name is Mandy Bealer, I am a birth doula and a childbirth educator with 23 years of experience, located in Williamsburg, VA. I am also a modern minimalist artist and a mother of 4. Two adult daughters and two teenage boys.
I started out as a massage therapist in 2001 when I discovered doula work. I took a doula training while still in massage therapy school and fell in love with it. I also discovered during that training that I was expecting my first child. That was a surprise! I had no experience with childbirth and did not even know you had options! My knowledge of massage, how anatomy and physiology works, and the doula training helped me tremendously with my own births and in my doula practice. Empowering myself to choose the level of care that not only I needed, but to be able to provide that knowledge, peace, relaxation, and comfort that my clients need & deserve.
I am super passionate about empowering women and couples to make informed decisions about their care. Childbirth is an experience that you will always remember and my goal is to help make it a positive one. It does not need to be full of fear. That is why when you come to my classes and use my services I make it a priority to empower you with the tools and knowledge to be confident in your body's ability to birth your baby.
